Acer Iconia A1 review, specs, price and release date | Competition with Nexus 7 and Apple iPad mini

Acer has announced a whole new 7.9 inch tablet, Acer Iconia A1. This new tablet is expected to give a huge competition to Nexus 7 and Apple iPad mini. It has some eye catching specs with reasonably low price.

Acer Iconia A1 Processor and Operating System

For fast and fluid performance, Iconia A1 runs on quad-core processor clocked with 1.2 GHz. You can enjoy all the features of Google Play, as it is powered by Android Jelly Bean version.

Acer Iconia A1 Display and Design

It has 7.9 inch LED IPS display with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution, for razor sharp viewing experience. It has same screen size and resolution as Apple iPad mini. So Display wise it is at par with other tablets. The only drawback is its weight and thickness. Iconia A1 weighs 410g and is 11.1 mm thick, making it heavier and thicker than its rivals.

For clear and bright pictures, it has 5 MP primary camera which has a feature of Full HD video recording upto 1080 pixels resolution. So that its users can enjoy video chatting with their friends and family, it has secondary camera of fair megapixel.

Acer Iconia A1 Storage and Connectivity

It has various connectivity options like microHDMI port, microUSB, Wi-Fi, Blutooth and GPS. It comes with two variants 8 GB and 16 GB, its memory can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 32 GB.
